Tervetuloa kotiin ja kiitos näistä tarinoista, jotka ovat mahdollistaneet sohvamatkailun myös kotiäipälle. Ja kyllä ne innosti ihan oikeeseenkin reppumatkailuun taas (tällä kertaa lisänä rintareppu). Pidä nämä muistot matkalta mukana niinkuin sisupastillit, jotka voi laittaa suuhun yksi kerrallaan aina kun arki alkaa maistua tympeältä. Nähdään pian!

Käytännössä toimiva kombo on ollut Lonely Planet + Google, kun vain nettiä on ollut saatavilla.

Myös TripAdvisor.com on aika hyvä saitti tsekkailla. Siinä erityisen hyvää on se, että käyttäjät voivat jättää kommentteja ja palautetta, jotka monesti kertovat ihan yhtä paljon kuin itse kuvaus kohteesta. Harmillisesti tällainen ei vielä tänä vuonna taida onnistua tuon painetun kirjan kanssa.:p

Ei tuo Lonely planet tietenkään mikään onni ja autuus ole, mutta kuten sanottu hyvää reissuevästä.:p

Tuo kommenttisi Lounarista antoi aihetta kirjoittaa. Itse olen aina ostanut lounarin jokaisesta maasta, jossa olen vierraillut. Hieman ristiriitaisia tunteita tuo opus on kuitenkin minussa herättänyt. Joissain kohteissa olen huomannut, että joitain oleellisia aisoita on jäänyt kirjoittamatta, kuten viime kevään reissullamme Roomaan. Lähdimme käymään Viterbon kylässä, josta oli lounarissa vinkattu. Viterbossa oli aivan mahtava maauimala, johon tuli vettä kuumasta lähteestä. Maauimala aukesi illalla yhdeksän jälkeen, joten siellä me lilluimme kuumassa vedessä tähtitaivaan alla. Lounarissa oli kerrottu, että maauimalaan pääsee bussilla. No eipä päässyt, vaan otimme keskustasta taksin paikan päälle. Toinen huomio, mikä lounarin kirjoittajalta oli jäänyt kirjoittamatta oli, että taksit eivät liikennöi enää kello 23:00 jälkeen. Tuli aika h***tin kalliiksi ajella hotellille taksilla, jonka kuski oli hätyytetty nukkumasta kuskaamaan turisteja. Että näin. Kiitos lounarille vinkistä tuosta mahtavasta uimalakokemuksesta, mutta piiiitkä miinus parin oleellisen asian puuttumisesta.

On ollut hienoa seurata reissunne etenemistä värikkäitten tarinoidesi saattelemana. Samalla se on helpottanut meidän oloamme täällä kotipuolessa ja vähentänyt huoltamme reissun sujumisesta (Aleksin riskiluokituksen hyvin tuntien…). Minusta kaikesta näkyy, että olette tulleet varsin hyvin toimeen keskenänne, vaikka varmaan olette joutuneet hieman särmiä hiomaan, sillä kyllä noinkin iso ryhmä jo antaa dynaamisia haasteita, kun joudutaan tekemään ja päättämään asioita yhdessä. Se on kuitenkin sitä parasta elämän akatemiaa ja se on pääomaa myös jatkossa. Hyvää loppureissua sinulle – nauti!
